Nancy Miller-Ihli is a wellness advocate and the owner of Savvy Selections which is a company focused on helping individuals reach their health and weight loss goals.  She likes to coach clients 1-on-1 or in small groups.

Dr. Nancy has more than 25 years experience conducting human nutrition research and is a nationally recognized speaker on nutrition, nutrition policy and healthy eating.  Dr. Nancy also had the opportunity to serve as the US Department of Agriculture’s National Program Leader for Nutrition. In that capacity, she authored a white paper on obesity for the White House to summarize the challenge and identify possible solutions.  Her research has been supported by the USDA, the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, (NHLBI) and the Office of Dietary Supplements at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  She received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Maryland. 

Dr. Nancy is the senior author of more than seventy peer-reviewed scientific publications and one patent.  USDA’s database on the proanthocyandin content of foods was published during her tenure as National Program Leader for Nutrition.  She is an expert on the health benefits of low-glycemic impact dietary choices.  Her passion is to work with individuals one-on-one to help them achieve their health and weight loss goals.  She has helped to certify more than 4000 lifestyle coaches and has coached hundreds of people to weight loss success.  Her focus is community-based nutrition education and she consults with health professionals regarding weight management and nutraceutical programs throughout the United States.  She also serves as co-chair of the Steering Committee for the Chesapeake Celiac Support Group (CCSG).

Dr. Nancy's interests include: dogs (she has 1 lab and 2 elkhounds - her business was named for Savannah who was her first lab), scuba diving, running (more like jogging :-), kayaking and spending time with her husband Kevin at their beach house in Delaware.
